If you want to understand God's word, reform theology, and the Christian life to a deeper level, then New Covenant is the place for you. If you want to be entertained by surface level preaching, and go to a rock concert....then you might want to look elsewhere. I have studied a-lot of theology and listened to a-lot of sermons, and unfortunately, most other pastors just don't seem to teach me anything new in their sermons, so I can't grow. But Pastor Batzig always manages to bring new insights that open my eyes to the richness of God's word in a new way. With that said, Pastor Batzig's preaching is not only theologically rich, but enjoyable as well, with a hint of humor. The worship is good too because it focuses more around the congregation singing and worshipping, nut just the musicians up front. I love Christian contemporary worship music and rock, even metal, but on Sundays I would rather hear myself sing a little than be drowned out by the concert. I love this community and I consider myself very fortunate to be a part of it, growing in Christ, and developing relationships.
